Fees and Fee Philosophy

Van Rooy Strategies was launched to help good organizations do more good work. It's as simple as that. I charge fair market rates for helping organizations that can pay, and set aside significant time for pro bono support for organizations that can't. Organizations that can afford to pay will know they are supporting the good work of others.

Project-Based Fees

Fees are set according to the scope and complexity of the work envisaged rather than a daily rate: the intention is to provide a no-surprises service. After a free initial hour-long conversation, potential clients will receive a detailed proposal with pricing options. Low overhead means I can keep costs lower than other fair market rates for planning services in North America.

Pro Bono Work

In solidarity with the important work undertaken by charitable organizations not supported by public funding or other grants, I set aside a significant time for pro bono work (i.e. charging for expenses only, not for my services). After a free initial hour-long conversation, successful pro bono clients will receive an estimate of the hours and scheduling options available.
